Steve Paulson Biography
Steve Paulson is an American journalist and weatherman working for KTVU-FOX 2News in San Francisco. He specialized in the weather industry after meeting a news director who suggested the weather. They met when he had gone to ask for an internship at KHSL in Chicago.
Steve has worked as a chief meteorologist in Denver for KMGH. Here he covered tornadoes, blizzards, and snow. Before this, he worked for WBBM-Channel 2 in Chicago and learned about the lake effect Snow and winter were brutal.
While he was in Santa Rosa, he acquired knowledge of Bay Area weather and experienced an El Nino year between 1982 and 1983. Steve then proceeded to KICU-Channel 36 in San Jose but was later laid off after the station eliminated weather.
This made Paulson join an on-air host for San Jose Sharks Hockey. After all, this was over, Paulson was left jobless and decided to go back to the weather career in Monterey at KMST.
Steve attended Earlham College where he graduated in 1981 with a bachelor’s degree and in 1983 with a master’s degree. He later joined the University of Wisconsin’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication and graduated.
