The role immediately launched him into the realm of “Babe Magnet”.

After that, he began performing stand-up comedy. Apart from that, Crowder has acted in a number of films, such as To Save a Life, 3 Needles, and The Secret. In 2009, he joined ‘Fox News’ as a contributor. In June 2019, YouTube investigated Crowder for using racist and homophobic slurs targeting Carlos Maza in multiple videos reacting to the Vox series Strikethrough, which Maza hosts. Crowder referred to Maza as “Mr. Lispy queer”. Crowder mocked Maza using a stereotypical gay voice. In addition, Maza said that Crowder’s fans have doxxed and harassed him. However, Steven defended himself, saying that it was just “playful ribbing.” The ‘YouTube’ standards did not find the video offensive. ‘YouTube’ attracted a lot of criticism for this, which made them demonetize his videos later, saying that he first needed to address all the concerns people had about his channel.

Steven’s channel got re-monetized in 2020, but another controversy for violating YouTube’s presidential election integrity policy led to its demonetization in March 202. YouTube suspended the channel again for two weeks in October 2022 for violating its harassment, threats, and cyberbullying policy. Recently, CrowderIn revealed on Louder with Crowder that he had received a term sheet from a conservative media outlet that he left unnamed. The unnamed media outlet was The Daily Wire.
