Tara Nelson is an American broadcast journalist currently known for working as a reporter and producer for CTV Calgary News. She joined CTV News after spending almost a decade working as a European chief reporter for the Global Television Network news division. Tara has been known for delivering various news cats and the world’s most interesting sports events. She replaced Barb Higgins on CTV’s Calgary News 6 updates. As a foreign correspondent, Tara was able to cover various news stories across the world like the Canadian Troops moving to Afghanistan and 2010 the famous World Cup held in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Nelson was born and raised in the suburbs of Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada. She grew up as a very intelligent young girl who developed a passion for journalism at the age of five.
