Todd Davis Biography

Todd Davis is an athlete, surfer, and runner-up from season two of HGTV Design Star who owns his design business. He worked as a host for Room Crashers on HGTV where he worked from March of 2011-October of 2013. Moreover, Davis is the owner of Epic spaces, which he launched in March 2002, with its location and operations mainly in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Todd attended FottHill Highschool from 1986 to 1990. He holds a degree in landscape architecture from the College of Architecture and Environmental Design at California Polytechnic University. He describes himself as hyper-creative, dynamic, smart, and very opinionated.

Davis is not shy from expressing his opinions. He admits that some of his adventurous design styles reflect his risk-taking personality. He further states that he can build anything from chicken wire and lint in a timely fashion.

Utilizing both his vast knowledge of construction and leading-edge design, Davis went on to be the host of numerous television shows, most recently completing the third season of “Room Crashers” and the Emmy nominated show “Build Small Live Anywhere!”, airing now on HGTV as its lead energetic host.

Davis has not only designed and renovated over 42 different homes throughout California over the last three years, but he has also completed several remodels in just three days, sometimes managing over 26 contractors in one room at a time. He wrote two books at the same time, “Handy Dad,” the first of which became a best-seller for San Francisco-based publisher Chronicle Books.

Davis lived in Fort Mason, General Head Quarters 2, San Francisco’s second oldest home, for over nine years, immersing himself in the city’s rich and dynamic culture. He has been living in nearby Fisherman’s Wharf for more than a decade, in a newly renovated historical loft that was previously owned by the world-famous Ghirahdelli chocolate family.

Davis has appeared in numerous commercials and major videos, including Warner Bros.’s blockbuster hit “Godzilla.” He led the elite military airborne paratrooper team out of the back of a C130 Cargo plane for the halo jump into San Francisco, of all places!
