Tyrone Edwards is a Canadian television broadcaster and entrepreneur, currently the cohost of CTV’s entertainment magazine show e Talk. He was a renowned Toronto figure before being employed as a journalist. Tyrone was a partner in 1LoveTO, a Toronto community and entertainment blog that expanded by 2011 into a clothing line.

He was born and raised in Toronto’s west end, and he attended Hillside College in Michigan. He also played NCCA basketball while studying Business and Speech there. After graduation from college, he was employed as a host by RAPCITY.

In 2011 he was hired by Muchmusic as the new host of RapCity, and served as an entertainment reporter and host for sister station E!. He joined eTalk as a reporter in 2018. Later on he was announced as the cohost of eTalk, replacing Ben Mulroney, and joined Chloe Wilde of the Tiff Tribute Awards telecast for the 2020 Toronto International Film Festival.

In addition to his television work, he is a partner in Miss Likklemore’s, a caribbean food restaurant on Queen Street West. During the COVID-19 Pandemic in Canada, Edward and his original 1LoveTO partners also launched See You Soon Toronto, a special clothing line whose profits were donated entirely to charities assisting workers impacted by the pandemic shutdowns.

Off-screen, Tyrone is heavily involved in his community, acting as a mentor and coach for underprivileged youth. Having once worked as a camp counselor with Toronto Parks and Recreation, Tyrone went on to found Concrete Hoops, a not-for-profit basketball camp that aims to incorporate life skills with the Love of the game. He has also been a program leader with the Urban youth-oriented Remix Project, an organization that helps kids from all 13 priority neighborhoods in Toronto learn the fundamentals of the arts and entertainment business and assists them in their educational aspirations.

In honor of his work as a television host and with numerous charities. He has a foundation for supporting underprivileged youth. Tyrone received the 2016 Mandela Legacy Hope, Success, and Empowerment Award, alongside Naomi Campbell and Reverend AI Sharpton.
