Yashar Ali Biography
Yashar Ali is an American journalist who is famous for having contributed to HuffPost, NBC News, and New York Magazine. He was even included in Time Magazine’s list of the most influential people in 2019.
Born in Chicago, Ali grew up in Oak Park where he attended Holy Cross High School in River Grove. Later on, he moved to Los Angeles where he worked as a television assistant on shows. Some of these shows included E.R. and Chicago Hope.
After a few ups and downs in his career, he landed employment with Kathy Griffin. H worked as a cook and personal assistant for Kathy. While working with Kathy, he began building a Twitter following.
As a journalist, Ali has covered some of the most followed stories in the United States. In October 2020, he reported allegations that Mayor Eric Garcetti, witnessed sexual misconduct by his top aide, Rick Jacobs. He also disclosed that Eric had been forcibly kissed by Jacobs many times. Following this, his nomination for United States Ambassador to India has since been stalled in regard to their allegations.

Following his reports, he reported on March 16, 2021, that, television personality Sharon Osbourne had allegedly used racist and homophobic slurs against several of her co-workers for years. On June 9, 2021, Los Angeles magazine published a profile on Ali’s background and rise to fame written by Peter Kiefer.
The piece explored Yashar’s vast connections in politics and the entertainment industry. It also reported several allegations against him by sitting some of the relationships he has had with wealthy individuals. Some of these relationships they say ended up in financial manipulation and misconduct.
Recently on June 7, 2022, writer Parker Molloy published an article in which Ali refused 90% of the allegations cited in Molly’s article. He even went on to critique the journalistic process of the Kiefer article, claiming that he was never informed of the claims against him. He also added that there were many factual errors within the article.
