Poppy Harlow Biography

Poppy Harlow (Katherine Julia Harlow) is a renowned American journalist famous for reporting at CNN and Forbes.com. She is based at CNN’s New York bureau where she anchors the CNN Newsroom from 9-11 am ET alalongside Jim Sciutto.

Previously, Poppy worked as a business correspondent at CNN, CNN International, and HLN as an anchor for CNNMoney.com. In addition, she worked as a Forbes.com Video Network anchor, reporter, and producer. Currently, she also fills in as a weekday relief presenter for CNN’s New Day early-morning news program.

Harlow started work as an intern at CBS while still in College. She then continued working for CBS MarketWatch as well as serving as an assistant producer for CBS Newspath after her graduation.

Poppy got an opportunity to work as a reporter and anchor for NY1 News’ Local Edition. At the station, she covered Staten Island and New Jersey reporting on local politics, local cultural events, and the economy. In September 2007, she was hired by Forbes.com Video Network where she diversified her coverage to fashion, entertainment, and business topics.

It is in April 2012 when Poppy was named a New York-based CNN correspondent.
