Tony Aiello is an American journalist currently serving as a general assignment reporter at CBS 2 based at the CBS 2 Broadcast Center in Manhattan, New York. He broadcasts on a daily basis from CBS 2’s Mobile 2, a pioneering technology that enables live broadcasts from a moving car. Before joining CBS 2, he spent eight years covering news in the Northern Suburbs of the WCBS-TV office in White Plains, New York.

Over the course of his career, Aiello has worked at stations as an anchor and reporter, including Milwaukee, WI., Nashville, TN., and Greenville, SC.

Aiello attended Indiana University where he graduated with a degree in telecommunications in 1985. During his days at Indiana University, he was a brother of the Phi Kappa Psi brotherhood and also a member of the prestigious Indiana University Student Foundation Steering Committee.

In 1996, Aiello moved to New York to work for Dow Jones & Company’s new radio station, WBIS+. Prior to moving to New York, he worked at network affiliates WITI in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and WTVF in Nashville, Tennessee, where he first used the moniker “Tony” on the air. Prior to Nashville, Aiello used his given name, “Carm” at positions in Greenville, South Carolina, Charlottesville, Virginia, and Winchester, Virginia.
