Amanda Lamb Biography
Amanda Lamb is an American journalist who is currently working as a news reporter at WRAL in Raleigh, North Carolina. She joined the station in 1994. Moreover, she is an author, public speaker, and consultant. Prior to joining her current station, she worked as a news reporter at WMTW in Portland from 1991 to 1994. She also worked as a reporter at WPDE in Myrle Beach, South Carolina from 1989 to 1991.
Lamb attended and graduated from Episcopal Academy, where she joined in 1974. After graduating in 1984, she joined Duke University in 1988. There she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Psychology. Later on, she went to Durham, NC in 1989 and earned her Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University.
She has been a television reporter for over 30 years. Of these 30 years, 26 were spent serving at WRAL. Besides journalism, she is also an author. She has published 10 books. Of these 4 are memories, 3 true crime books, and two children’s books. Her first novel was published in May 2020.
Additionally, she is working on many true crime podcasts for Capitol Broadcasting due to be launched in 2021. She frequently appears on national true crime television programs and podcasts.
