Parker Schnabel is a popular American television personality, Gold Miner. He is well known for Discovery Channel’s Gold Rush reality series. Schnabel started his career in the family mining business when he was young. When in high school, he was popular for playing basketball on the varsity team. After finishing high school, he took over operations in the mine.
Later on, his grandfather stepped down from the daily operations allowing Schnabel to take on the same role. He led miners almost twice his age and proved his capability to find serious gold in this role. Eventually, after many years of hard work in the mines, Parker rose to fame after his appearance on the Discovery Channel series, Gold Rush Alaska.
One of his most remarkable participation in the series was when he tried to assist miners at the Porcupine Creek. He realized that the team didn’t understand much about the whole mining venture. The show’s 4th session unfolds his decision to abandon his family mining business.
Moreover, in his first year of running the mining operations, Parker found a massive 1029 oz of gold. Between 2012 through 2016, he appeared in the reality TV series Gold Rush: The Dirt. In 2017, he also starred in the reality TV series Gold Rush: Parker’s Trail spin-off.
In addition to being a reality TV star, Schnabel worked as a producer on all three shows. He has mined more than $13 million worth of gold by the age of 24.
