John Arthur Heilemann, popularly known as John Heilemann, is a renowned American journalist and national affairs analyst for NBC News and MSNBC. He, along with Mark Halperin co-authored Game Change (2010) and Double Down (2013), books focusing on presidential campaigning. In addition, Heilmann is a former staff writer for New York, The Economist, and Wired.
Heilmann is the author of Pride Before the Fall (2001), a book regarding the Microsoft antitrust case. He was the host of a 4 part documentary series for Discovery known as Download: the True Story of the Internet, focusing on the rise of the World Wide Web, which was first aired in 2008.
In addition, Heilemann co-authored with Mark Halperin Game Change (2010) and Double Down (2013) books on Presidential campaigns. The pair also co-hosted With All Due Respect (2014 to 2017), a political analysis program on Bloomberg Television and MSNBC.
