Ben Axelrod is an American journalist who is currently working as a digital producer at WKYC in Cleveland, Ohio, the United States. Axelrod specifically specializes in Sports. He arrived at WKYC in 2007 after six years of covering Ohio State football and basketball for various outlets including Bleacher Report, Cox Media Group, Rivals, and Scout.
In the same year he joined WKYC, Ben published his first book, “Urban Meyers vs. College Football: The Cause for College Football’s Greatest Coach.” Talking about his education, he attended and graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a minor in political science.
He was born and raised in Dublin, Ohio where he got the chance to attend and graduate from Jerome High School. Currently, he resides in downtown Cleveland with his wife, Torey. When off his duties, he loves attending Browns, Indians, and Caves games, pro wrestling shows, and practicing in the Winking Lizard Beer Tour.
