Aaron Drawhorn is an American Emmy award-winning journalist working as an anchor for KFDM 6 News alongside Tiffany Murphy.
Drawhorn started off in the Golden Triangle where he edited his high school newspaper PN-G, and competed in speeches, debate, journalism, and current events competitions at UIL meets across Southeast Texas.
Drawhorn spent three years as a commercial real estate broker at a top international brokerage firm specializing in office, retail, and industrial properties. He has also spent ten years covering the world-famous Las Vega Strip, from historic casino explosions to high-end megaresort grand openings. He was also the station’s lead reporter on O.J. Simpson’s arrest and conviction in 2007 for kidnapping and armed robbery in a Las Vegas hotel room robbery.
Aaron has won an Emmy award for anchoring live breaking news coverage of a dramatic rescue of a group of window washers from the 35th floor of the Vdara Hotel. He was also awarded a golden statue by the Academy of Television Arts and Science which focuses on assisting veterans who were experiencing difficulties.
For school, Aaron attended the Port Neches-Groves High School and later joined the University of San Antoni and Boston University International Programs where he graduated.
