Adam Longo is an American seven-time Emmy award-winning journalist/ news anchor currently working for WUSA9 News since October 2015. Nevertheless, he co-anchors WUSA9 News at 5 pm and 11 pm with Lesli Foster. In 2021, he helped launch Open Mic with host Reese Waters.
He started as a writer for News Channel 8 and anchored traffic and weather reports broadcast across the Metro area for a company called SmarTraveler TV. Before that, he recently worked as an anchor at the CBS TV Station in Phoenix, Arizona. He has also worked at TV stations in Orlando, Chattanooga, Knoxville, Tennessee, and Charlottesville, Virginia.
He attended the University of Maryland, College Park, and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and a minor in Government and Politics. Adam has also attended Fork Union Military High School in Fluvanna County, USA. He is a graduated Valedictorian.
Longo is also the Vice President of NATAS National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter. He is also an Adjunct Professor of journalism at Philip Merril College of Journalism-University of Maryland, College Park. He is also a big NASCAR fan.
