Aisha Tyler Biography
Aisha Tyler is an American actress, comedian and host who rose to fame for playing Andrea Marino’s role on the first season of Ghost Whisperer. She then gained more fame for voicing Lana Kane’s role on Archer and playing a recurring role on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Friends (2004). Tyler’s other famous roles are in Bad Therapy (2020), Friendsgiving (2020) and Untitled Horror Movie (2021).
Tyler was born and raised in the upscale suburbs of San Francisco, California. She grew up as the daughter of a school teacher and a photographer. Tyler finished her high school education at McAteer High School based in her hometown. Tyler then enrolled at the Ruth Asawa San Francisco School of Arts and studied through a special program. She then learned how to do improv and sketch art through Sam Rockwell. In 1992, Aisha graduated from Dartmouth College where she was a member of the Tabard and co-ed fraternity.
Aisha made her acting debut starring in various TV shows in 2001 and hosting a talk show called Talk Soup. However, the show was canceled in 2002. She also hosted another reality tv show called The Fifth Wheel which she left the same year Talk Soup was cancelled. She then played a supportive role in a theatre play called Moose Mating which earned her an NAACP Image Award. The following year, Tyler directed, starred and wrote the script for a famous independent film called The Whipper back in 2003.
From there, Tyler landed her most famous role on Friends in 2004. She played Dr. Charlie Wheeler and earned national ad international credibility from various audiences. In 2005, she played a recurring role on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation before joining the cast of Ghost Whisperer. Tyler’s most television and film roles are in Celebrity Jeopardy! (2022) and The Boys (2022).

Aisha plays the role of Dr. Tara Elizabeth Lewis in a CBS crime drama series called Criminal Minds. Dr. Tara is a professional forensic psychologist who works as the Supervisory Special Agent for the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit. Dr. Lewis first appeared on the show as a temporary replacement for Agent Kate Callahan and Jennifer Jareu while they were on maternity leave. Eventually, Tara became a regular on the show and is slated to make an appearance in the eleventh season of the show.
