Alan Frio is an American journalist who is currently working for WSMV-TV Nashville, Tennessee as a reporter and anchor of newscasts at 4 pm on weekends. He used to anchor Channel 4’s morning show, News 4 Today, and Noon News before he was promoted to weekend news anchor. Frio is a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Communications.
After graduating, he joined the WCAU-TV CBS-owned station in Philadelphia. He worked here as an anchor and reporter for the primary evening newscast from 1982 to 1984. Later on, in 2004 he joined WSMV as an anchor and reporter. He is currently the station’s weekend anchor at 4 pm.
