Allen Henry Biography
Allen Henry is an American journalist currently working as a reporter on NBC4, WCMH-TV, in Columbus, Ohio since joining the team in August 2020. Before joining NBC4, Henry worked as a reporter for Fox 45.
Allen is a graduate of the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University where he studied Broadcast Journalism with a major in Sociology and Political Science.
At Ohio University, Henry benefited from functioning as an assistant with the Scripps Howard Foundation Wire in Washington D.C. covering the White House, Congress, and the National Spelling Bee.
Moreover, he was chosen as a Statehouse News Bureau Fellow, where he secured Ohio state governmental issues from Columbus. A few days after completing Ohio University, Allen moved to Montgomery, Alabama, and acknowledged an occupation with WSFA 12 News.
During his tenure at the station, Henry was associated with a few significant stories including the 50th commemoration of the Selma to Montgomery walk and helping a man recuperate a huge number of dollars from his assessment discount. Allen also covered the state’s takeover of Montgomery Public Schools and a few examinations with the 12 News Defender.
Henry then left for Fox 8 in New Orleans where he served as the morning columnist. He was live every morning, covering breaking news from medium-term and early hours of the day and helping Fox 8 Morning Edition become rated New Orleans’ #1 decision for news in the focused market.
Allen joined NBC4 in August 2020 and he currently serves as a reporter. Before NBC4. Henry worked at WKEF/WRGT in Dayton. He started his broadcast career at WSFA in Montgomery, Alabama. He also appeared on WVUE in New Orleans as a reporter, covering everything from Mardi Gras to tropical storms.
