Amanda Burton is a famous Northern Irish actress best known for her role in Channel 4 soap opera, Brookside as Heater Black. She has also featured as Beth Glover in Peak Practice, Sam Ryan in the BBC crime series, Silent Witness, Clare Blake in The Commander, and many others.
Many known Amanda after featuring as Heather Black in Channel 4’s Liverpool-based flagship drama series Brookside. However, this was due to her hard work as she worked exclusively in theatre to earn her the role.
After nearly four years in the role, she had become one of the show’s most famous residents of Brookside Close. She slowly started losing interest in her character and decided to leave.

Though her take to feature as Ryan as a reflective personality was satirized by the Comedian Dawn French, Amanda helped lay the groundwork for what was to become one of the best-known BBC series to February 2019.
After playing Silent Witness, she took the role of Professor Helen West in a series based on Frances Fyfields’s novels. She also featured in a 2003 remake of Pollyanna, and The Commander as Commander Clare Blake.
In 2010, Amanda featured in the sixth series of BBC drama, Waterloo Road as a new headteacher, Karen Fisher before quitting in 2011. In addition, she participated in BBC’s Celebrity Masterchef making it through to the semi-finals.
