Amy Hockert is an American Journalist presently working as a special projects reporter and anchor at KMSP TV, FOX 9 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She joined the station back in January 2015.
Hockert was born and raised in Minnesota and considers herself fortunate to be able to live and work there. She returned to TV news after an eight-year absence to start a family when she joined FOX9 in 2015.
Hockert began her journalism career while at college where she worked for the NBC affiliate in Fargo-Moorhead. In addition, Amy worked in Minot, North Dakota, and Raleigh, North Carolina prior to moving back to Minnesota to work at KARE-11. Later on, she served as VP of News for the digital news organization, Bring Me The News.
Amy enjoys traveling with her husband and two children, Christian, 9 years old, and Elise, 11 years old. Bennett and Henry, the family’s two spoiled dogs, are also members of the household.
About her education, Hockert joined Minnesota State University, Moorhead where she earned a degree in Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mass Communications.
