Amy Yasbeck is an American actress known for her role as Casy Chappel on Wings from 1994 to 1997 and The Mask (1994). She is also widely recognized as the wife of the late American actor John Ritter who died in 2003. Amy even gained more popularity by playing the role of a mermaid named madison in a 1998 film called Splash, Too. She has also played supporting roles in films like Pretty Woman, Problem Child, Denial Claudia and The Odd Couple II.
Yasbeck was born and raised in a Cincinnati suburb located in Blue Ash, Ohio, USA. She grew up as a very jovial and silent girl who adored her parents so much. Amy even participated in various talent shows as she was passionate about acting from a young age. She finished her high school studies at Ursuline Academy having been transferred from Summit Country Day School. From there, Amy joined the theater program at the University of Detroit. However, she did not graduate because of the death of her father and her mother.
After grieving the death of her parents, Amy moved to New York City to become an actress. She made her first acting debut by appearing in a 1985 CBS TV show called Rockhopper. Yasbek then landed guest roles in famous TV shows like Dallas, Spies Werewolf, JJ Starbuck, and Magnium. These particular roles landed her prominence and fame in Hollywood. Amy’s most recent roles are in films and TV shows like Workhalics (2015) and Pretty Little Liras (2016). She is also set to appear in upcoming films that are scheduled to be released in 2023 & 2024.

John died in early 2003 after he collapsed and fell into a coma while he was rehearsing for a movie. He passed away at exactly 10:48 pm on September 11, 2003, after doctors discovered he had an undiagnosed congenital heart defect that caused his aortic dissection. Amy even appeared on CNN’s Larry King Live to discuss Ritter’s heart condition. She also revealed the reason why she filed a wrongful death suit against the Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center.
