Andrea Jackson is an American 4-time Emmy-nominated journalist who is currently working as a weekend anchor for Good Day Orlando and a reporter for FOX 35 News since 2014. In addition, she colo anchors Good Day Orlando weekend mornings from 8-10 am and covers morning anchor duties and the consumer beat during the weekdays.
Following up her career journey, in 2012, she launched the lifestyle show “Life Love Shopping” on WEtv & Oxygen, while continuing her role as host of the national news program “The Daily Buzz”. Jackson wrapped both shows in October of 2013. Prior to joining “The Daily Buzz” on its debut in 2002, Andrea was living in Los Angeles where she was covering weather and traffic for KNBC
She spent 2011 as a morning reporter and weekend anchor for the NBC affiliate WESH in Orlando, Florida covering the Casey Anthony trial. In addition, she created a smartphone app “WakeUpCall.TV” for iPhone and Android, and is also the creator of Stable8 TV an internet TV channel devoted to equestrian TV programming.
Her start in career on the other hand started in San Diego where she worked for an ABC affiliate KGTV. During her time there, she received an Emmy nod for breaking news coverage. Jackson also covered the Heaven’s Gate tragedy from the station’s helicopter “Sky Ten.” Later on from 1996-1999, she was the weekday morning weather anchor for the station.
