John Andrew Henry Forrest also known by his nickname Twiggy, is an Australian famous businessman. He is popular as the former CEO of Fortescue Metals Group (FMG). Presently, he serves as the non-executive chairman at Fortescue. Andrew also owns several charitable organizations, the most prominent being the Minderoo Foundation, which he co-established with his wife.

Forrest is a native of Perth, Western Australia, Australia. He attended Onslow Primary School and later transferred to Chris Church Grammar School and then Hale School. After that, he enrolled at the University of Western Australia where he majored in economics and politics. Shortly after graduating, he worked as a stockbroker at the brokerage houses Kirke Securities and Jacksons. Later after, Andrew left and joined Nickel Mining founded by Anaconda Nickel. In 1993, he become the CEO of Anaconda Nickel after buying a stake in the company.
