Ann is also popularly known as the first ex-girlfriend of renowned American businessman Bill Gates. She has received a couple of awards for her work. They include the 2017 Award for Exemplary Women honor and SV Forum Visionary Award.
Winblad is a Minnesota Native who grew up in the suburbs of Red Wing, USA. She attended a private school situated in her hometown. She was a cheerleader and a student Valedictorian in her former high school.
