Annie McCormick is an American journalist who is currently working as a reporter and anchor at 6abc Action News. Additionally, she joined the station in September 2012. She joined the station as a general assignment reporter.
She attended and graduated from Moorestown High School in Moorestown, N.J. Later on, she graduated from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA, where she majored in communications and minored in music. After graduating, she began her career as a photo intern in the White House press office. She also worked as a photojournalist for newspapers and wire services in the Tri-State area, including The New York Times.
McCormick served on the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers Board for several years. Most notably, she created the series “Wanted in Central PA.” She has won several Associated Press awards and received Emmy nominations. In 2012, she was named Media Advocate of the Year. In addition, the International Association of Firefighters, Local 22, named her Media Person of the Year. This was in 2017.
