Araksya Karapetyan is an Armenian-born American television personality and anchor currently working for the Los Angeles-based KTTV Fox 11 News Good Day LA. She has co-anchored from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. alongside McEwing since March 2012. Her interest in journalism began when she went on a summer visit to Armenia and decided to spend her time there not only being a tourist but also exploring to see what everyday life was like for the majority.
Karapetyan started her career as an internee at KABC-TV based in Los Angeles, KFI 640 AM Radio located in Burbank, and Torrance CitiCABLE 3. Moreover, she worked at KIDK-TV in Idaho Falls as a reporter, anchor, and ad producer.
Later on, she moved to Portland, Oregon, and served as a general assignment reporter for a period of two years at KOIN-TV, a CBS affiliate. Furthermore, while at the station, she appeared on the evening newscasts with the big investigative stories of the day as well as hosted a lifestyle show.
