Ashley Williams is an American actress who is famous for starring in the television series The Jim Gaffigan Show on TV Land and in the NBC series Good Morning Miami. Williams has also starred in more than a dozen different television pilots over the years. She has done over 150 episodes of television and has worked in the studio and independent films, regional theater, Off-Broadway, and on Broadway.
After finishing her studies at Rye High School, she Boston University College of Fine Arts School of Theatre where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts. A few years after graduating, she began her acting career in the 1993 drama Indian Summer.
She then went on to play teenage Danielle Andropoulos on the soap opera As the World Turns from 1994 to 1996. From 2002 to 2004, Williams starred in the television series Good Morning Miami.
Recently, Williams starred as a fictionalized version of comedian Jim Gaffigan’s real-life wife The Jim Gaffigan Show on Comedy Central in 2015 and 2016. Comedy Central is a sitcom about a couple raising their five young children in a two-bedroom New York City. The film also starred Michael Ian Black and Adam Goldberg.
