Avis Favaro is an award-winning Canadian journalist who is currently working as the main medical correspondent for CTV National News. She is now considered the longest-serving health reporter for CTV and has won numerous awards and nominations for CTV since 1992. Favaro joined the station after playing the same role as a medical reporter for the Global Television network from 1982 to 1992.
