Ben Bradley (Anchor) Biography
Ben Bradley (Anchor) is an Emmy Award-winning investigative reporter currently working as a co-anchors at the WGN Evening News from 4-5 pm with Lourdes Duarte. He joined Chicago’s Very Own WGN Investigates team back in January 2017.
Before joining WGN-TV, Bradley worked for 14 years at WLS-TV, ABC7 in Chicago as a reporter and weekend morning anchor. While reporting for WLS-TV, he traveled the world on various stories including trips to Brazil, China, the Caribbean, and almost a dozen states.
Bradley began his career in 1994 at KOMU-TV in Columbia, MO as a weather anchor and reporter. He then joined WCBD-TV in Charleston, SC as a news reporter and weekday morning weather anchor. From 1998 to 2002, Bradley worked as a weekend anchor and reporter at Tribune-owned CLTV.
For the past few years, Bradley’s work has been recognized with five Emmy Awards for his breaking news coverage. He has also been honored with two Illinois Broadcasters Association Silver Dome Awards for his investigative reporting and for a documentary on the legacy of former Mayor Richard M. Daley. Furthermore, Ben is also an active member of the Investigative Reporters & Editors Association. He is also a past president of the Chicago Headline Club, which, by then, was the nation’s largest chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
Bradley was born and raised in the south suburbs of Chicago. He went to Homewood-Flossmoor High School. Later, he received his Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
