Bill Evans is an American award-winning senior meteorologist known for anchoring in various networks including WPLJ-FM, NASH FM, and 77WABC. In addition, he is the former weatherman for WABC-TV, an ABC affiliate based in New York City.

Evans attended Mississippi State University for a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration graduating in 1980. He then joined Jackson State University, Jackson, Mississippi, the United States, graduating in 1981 with a degree in Meteorology.

Bill Evans Career

Bill started his professional career at the age of 3 at WDAL Radio and WTOK-TV based in his hometown Meridian, Mississippi.

Later on December 13, 1989, Bill joined WABC-TV where he is the Senior Meteorologist for Eyewitness News This Morning and Eyewitness News at Noon.

Before joining WABC-TV, Bill worked as a meteorologist for WALA-TV in Mobile, Alabama. In addition, he worked as a morning show host on WABB-FM, WFAA-TV, and KHYI-FM.

Evans also featured on ESPN Sports Center and The Michael Kay Show on ESPN Radio. Furthermore, he featured on the shows; Live with Kelly and Ryan, and How Stuff Works.

Currently, Bill also reports the weather for WPLJ-FM, NASH FM, WGCH 1490 AM, and 77WABC. Moreover, Evans features on ABC’s morning television show, “Good Morning America”.
