Bill Winston is an American televangelist, preacher, author, entrepreneur, and the founder and Senior Pastor of Living Word Christian Center. He is the founder and Senior Pastor of Living Word Christian Center, a non-denominational church in Forest Park, Illinois with over 22,000 members.
Winston’s teachings, writings, weekly television, and radio outreach are shared through his ministry outreach, Bill Winston Ministries, and transmitted worldwide through his distributed program, Believer’s Walk of Faith. Winston’s sermons are also delivered on several radio networks in the United States. In January 1973, Winston joined IBM Corporation as a marketer. In IBM’s Midwest Region, he was then promoted to Regional Marketing Manager. Winston notes that during his tenure at IBM, he became spiritually “born again and felt a call from God to full-time ministry.

Bill Winston Church
In 1988, while living in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Winston and his spouse started a small ministry. They traveled to Chicago every weekend to fund a two-day Faith Crusade; fewer than 20 individuals took part. By December 1988, Winston had relocated to Chicago with his family. He started a Bible study academy, with services held at the Chicago Quality Inn Hotel in Madison and Halsted Streets. It became the Living Word Church of Chicago in 1989. The name was changed to Living Word Christian Center in 1990.
From 1994 through 1997, the church rented space for services at the Chez Roué Banquet Hall in Forest Park, Illinois. A 33-acre shopping center, the Forest Park Mall, was purchased as the ministry grew, and on New Year’s Eve in 1997, the church held its first worship service at the mall. Since then the church and its worship facilities have evolved into a multimillion-dollar worship center that is state-of-the-art. The auditorium of the church is notable for its advanced architectural style.
