Brad Cesak is an American journalist now stationed in Shreveport, Louisiana, where he works as a morning news anchor for KTAL News, NBC 6. He started as a weekend sports anchor for the station in 2016 before being elevated to morning news anchor in November 2019.
Cesak claims to have grown up appreciating all aspects of sports, but “as I’ve gotten older, I’ve noticed my day-to-day hobbies change,” Brad explained. “I began to notice that my passion had switched from athletics to general news reporting.”
Brad began his broadcasting career as a weekend sports anchor at KTAB-TV, their sister station in Abilene, Texas, where he worked for three years. In addition, from June 2012 to May 2013, he worked as a sports intern at KLBK/KAMC TV.
Furthermore, while the news has become his primary emphasis, he still finds time to keep up with the latest sports headlines.
In 2013, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Texas Tech University. One of his favorite sporting moments, he claims, was when the Red Raiders reached the national championship game in 2019.
“It was fantastic!” Brad commented. “I was fighting back tears.” It never occurred to me that I would see them punch their tickets for basketball. When I was in high school in Lubbock, only a few people attended the games. The venue is now completely sold out.
He enjoys going to the movies in his spare time, or simply lounging on his couch and re-watching episodes of The Office.
