He joined the station as a general assignment reporter in 2016 where he led the coverages of Green Bay Packers as well as the Marquette and Wisconsin athletics. Prior to joining the station, Brandon worked at WDJT TV CBS.

Brandon realized his passion for journalism after joining high school. He first became a writer for “The Amadon”, the newspaper for Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton, CA. In the following year, Cruz became the sports editor for the paper. He was then given an opportunity to work as an intern by his uncle, Gary Cruz at KCAL in Los Angeles.
In Los Angeles, Brandon got to meet and spend a little time with Scully at Dodger Stadium during the 5 years I was at KCAL. He soon moved up the ranks and became a sports producer, covering many of the same athletes he had been writing book reports about as a kid.
After college, Brandon was hired as the Sports Director at KVEW-KAPP in the Tri-Cities, WA. This gave him an opportunity to cover sports in Pocatello, ID, Colorado Springs, CO, and Denver, CO before coming to Milwaukee in 2006. Moreover, he covered the Packers, including Brett Favre’s final year with the green and gold, the Brewers return to the playoffs for the first time since 1982, as well as their NLCS runs in 2011 and 2018.
In 2009, Cruz transitioned from sports to the news side when he joined FOX6 as a general assignment reporter. He covered all aspects of reports including the Packers Super Bowl run in 2011, the protests over Act 10 days later, and the subsequent recall races to the wild weather.
