Jason Brewer is an American Certified Broadcast Meteorologist and journalist who presently works as a weekend morning broadcast host at WXFT, Boston 25 News in Massachusetts. In January 2015, he joined the station’s weather crew. Brewer previously worked as a meteorologist for WESH-TV in Orlando, Florida.
Brewer earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Earth Science from Baylor University, with minors in environmental studies and Spanish. He went on to Metropolitan State College of Denver, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology.
From 2006 to 2007, Jason worked as a meteorologist for KPRC-TV in Houston, Texas, and WTVD ABC 11 Eyewitness News in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. He began his career as a meteorologist at KOSA – TV in Odessa, Texas, where he worked for four years as a chief meteorologist, from 1999 to 2003.
Furthermore, Jason grew up in Connecticut, where he formed his first weather memories. Hurricane Gloria went by, and he was taken aback by the sight of the sky and the wind. When a snow day arrived, Jason loved staying up late and getting up early, and he eagerly awaited the forecast in the hopes of creating a snow fort the next day.
