Bria Chatman is a renowned American journalist who currently works as a reporter and multimedia journalist at WBRC FOX6 News. She joined WBRC in October of 2018 as a content specialist.
A native of Birmingham, Bria is excited to have the opportunity to tell useful stories in her hometown. Regarding her schooling, Bria attended the University of Alabama, where she interned at the local television station, WVUA-TV, and obtained her degree in journalism.
In addition, she was a mentor at the Boys and Girls Club of West Alabama, President of the Capstone Association of Black Journalists, and an active member of the Society of Professional Journalists.
She says this is a full-circle moment because she is working at a station she has loved since she was a young girl. Her dream was always to work at FOX6. Moreover, her passion for reporting is steered by her love of people and being in a position to share their stories with others.
During her free time, Bria enjoys being in the kitchen whipping up a new recipe, and spending quality time with her family, friends, and her beloved dog, Honey. She also likes to watch classic television shows and stay active.
