Caitlin Francis Biography
Caitlin Francis is an American journalist who is currently working as a reporter and anchor for the WFSB network. She mostly covers updates on traffic and joined the station in November of 2019. Francis joins WFSB from WDBJ7 in Virginia, where she served for a period of 3 years.
She is a proud graduate of Hartford University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies in 2011. In the same year, she joined Newhouse School for her master’s in broadcast and digital journalism. In addition, she attended Syracuse University for her Master of Science in Broadcast Journalism.
Francis interned as a Newsroom Intern at WVIT NBC Connecticut during her college years from May 2010 to August 2010. She also interned as an Editorial Intern at Hartford Courant from September 2010 to November 2020.
After her internship, her first work was at WJET-TV JET where she worked as a reporter. However, she left the station in August 2012. In addition, she has been a freelancer for Patch.com for 2 years from December 2010 to December 2012.
In September 2013, she joined WHAG TV as a Morning Anchor, producer, and reporter but left the station in February 2016. She then joined WDBJ7 in September of the same year. However, after working as an anchor and reporter for the station for 3 years, she left the station in October 2019.
In November of the same year, she joined her current station, WFSB-TV as a freelance reporter. Currently, she works at WFSB-TV as an anchor and reporter since April of 2020.
