Candace McCowan Biography
Candace McCowan is an African-American journalist currently working for the Eyewitness News team as a reporter since joining WABC-TV in December 2016. Before joining ABC 7, Candace worked at WFLA, the NBC affiliate in Tampa, as a political reporter and anchor.
McCowan is a proud graduate of the University of Alabama where she graduated with a double major in political science and Broadcast Journalism.
During the battle for the country’s largest swing state, Candace interviewed now-President Donald J. Trump, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, and many others. In Addition, she traveled to New Hampshire to cover the primary and covered multiple debates. McCowan also anchored and produced a weekly Sunday morning political show.
