Carolyn Clifford is an American reporter and anchor best known for serving at WXYZ-TV at Channel 7 News in Detroit. Clifford is an anchor for the 4, 6, 7 pm, and 11 pm newscast alongside Stephen Clark. Previously, Clifford worked in Pittsburgh PA at WPGH-TV as the anchor for the 10 p.m newscast.
Clifford went to school at Benedictine High school. Afterward, she went to Michigan State University and graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. She began her career at a radio station in Lansing. She works at WXYZ-TV Action News and 7 Action News This Morning team.
In addition, she has worked at the CBS affiliates in both Orlando, FL, and Lansing, MI. She also anchored the 10 p.m. news at WLFL-TV in Raleigh, NC, and the 10 pm Newscast at WPGH-TV in Pittsburgh PA.
Additionally, Clifford was once invited to the White House to interview President Obama about the Iran Nuclear Deal in 2015. She was also the only Michigan news anchor and among the few journalists selected across the country.
