Carrie Lazarus is an American journalist who is currently working as a reporter and anchor at WSYR. She hosts the “Extraordinary People and Places of Central New York” and “The Conversation”. Prior to that, she served as the co-anchor of NewsChannel 9.
Lazarus stepped down from the co-anchor job on March 2, 2020, and no longer hosts the “Family Healthcast.” Following her education, she attended college in Central New York and later graduated with high honors.
When she hosted Family Healthcast as one of the first daily local health and fitness reports in the nation, she brought her viewers the latest in health, fitness, and family news since 1986. She anchored NewsChannel 9 at Noon, 5, 5:30, and 6 pm daily before her new role.
Besides all that, she is an active member of society and takes part in community activities. In 2004, she was honored with the Syracuse Press Club’s Bliven-Ganley-Rossi Award.
