Charlie Plummer is an American actor who initially started his career as a child actor appearing on the television drama Boardwalk Empire and Granite Flats. After starring in the 2019 Hulu miniseries, Looking for Alaska, Plummer was cast as young Franklin D. Roosevelt in the 2022 showtime series The First Lady.
Born in Poughkeepsie, Plummer grew up traveling for most of his childhood and teenage years. The main reason behind this was his parent’s careers. In return, Plummer got to attend seven different schools. For him, this was both a merit and a demerit. It was merit in that he got to explore new environments and it was at the same time a demerit as it was a challenge adapting to these new environments.
When he was young, Plummer was one of the shy kids. Despite this fact, he was exposed to acting at a young age by his parents. Plummer gained experience acting in local stage productions of plays and musicals. Administ this promising journey, Plummer met his current manager.
