Chris Parente is an American anchor, reporter, and entertainment host who currently co-anchors “Daybreak” on Channel 2 on weekdays from 4:30-9:00 a.m. He has been in the TV business for more than 24 years. Before coming to Denver, he was the morning anchor at WAVE-TV in Louisville, Kentucky. Parente studied theatre at Indiana University and got his Improvisation training at Chicago’s famed “Second City.” He has also appeared with Improv Troups at numerous festivals and shows.
Furthermore, a highlight for him was hosting an hour of national television, filling in for Regis Philbin on “Live with Regis & Kelly.” He was also invited back to the show a second time, as a reporter for their “Ambush Makeovers.” Chris has also interviewed hundreds of celebrities, actors, and politicians, and his live work has been featured nationally on CNN, FOX, and MSNBC. Parente has adopted Colorado as his second home and is currently performing in Denver with the “Queerbots,” a troupe he helped found.
