Christi Paul is an American journalist and New anchor known for her work on New Day on CNN as well as the HLN network, WDTV, and KTVB. She is also a singer and author whose book, Love isn’t Supposed to Hurt, was inspired by her personal experience with her ex-husband and published in 2013.
Christi completed her bachelor’s degree from the University of Toledo in broadcast journalism. She then started her career in Clarksburg, West Virginia, working as a news editor, anchor, photographer, and reporter at WDTV.
Afterward, she moved to KNWX as an anchor, majorly focusing on weather forecasting. In the next five years, Christi had gone around the country working for various media houses. She first worked in Boise for the NBC affiliate KTVB as a reporter, news anchor, and producer. Getting a chance to work at Phoenix, she became part of the CNN affiliate KTVK.
Her success in the field got her to see new job offers each and every day. In 2003, Christi accepted an offer to work with CNN becoming the new employee of one of the biggest news networks.
Since joining CNN, Christi has risen to be one of the most prominent journalists in the house. One of her memorable on-screen appearances was in the show, Morning Express With Robin Meade in 2005. Through her determination, Paul was given the honor of singing the national anthem before the baseball game between the Atlant Braves and Florida Marlins.
In 2015, Christi joined CNN’s New Day first as a co-anchor but then later served as a sole anchor. She has also co-anchored yet another popular show, CNN Newsroom.
