Christine Sperow Biography
Christine Sperow is an American journalist currently working for FOX News since joining the station in March 2020. Sperow anchors the station’s newly launched FOX 5 News at 4:30 pm and co-anchors FOX 5 News Edge at 11 alongside Tom Haynes.
Christine comes to Atlanta from WBTV in Charlotte, NC where she spent 11 years as a morning anchor. At the station, she won numerous Midsouth Regional Emmy Awards, RTDNAC Awards, and NABJ Awards. Sperow further anchored coverage of many breaking news events in Charlotte ranging from devastating hurricanes and winter storms to new events that made national headlines such as the funeral of Reverend Billy Graham, the Charleston church shooting, and even the city’s sendoff when the Carolina Panthers went to Super Bowl 50.
During her tenure at WBYV, Christine has interviewed notable personalities like President Donald Trump, former First Lady Laura Bush, and then-Senator Barack Obama during his first presidential campaign. She takes pride in keeping her audience informed with accurate information about what’s going on in their community.

In Charlotte, Christine led WBTV’s campaign for seven years raising millions of dollars for children fighting pediatric cancer at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Prior to joining the station, Sperow worked as a reporter at KLTV in Texa and WABG in Mississippi. In addition, Christine is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
Christine stands no stranger to the Peach State as she is a proud graduate of the University of Georgia. She received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. Sperow was also a student-athlete playing for UGA’s women’s volleyball team.
After her graduation, Christine lived in Atlanta before touring the country to start her journalist career. She is currently happy that she is back in Atlanta where her family resides.
