Colin Cowherd is an American sports media personality who is currently the host of The Herd with Collin Cowherd on ESPN Radio and ESPNU. He was a co-host of the show SportsNation on ESPN2 alongside Michelle Breadle and later Charissa Thompson. He joined FOX Sports and Premiere Networks in September 2015 s a television, radio, and digital personality.
A native of Grayland, Wash., Cowherd graduated in 1985 from Eastern Washington University, where he got his broadcasting start.

Cowherd also contributes to coverage of many of FOX Sports’ marquee events and appears on FOX NFL KICKOFF, the Sunday morning NFL pregame show preceding FOX NFL SUNDAY.

Cowherd’s career also includes stints as a sports anchor at Tampa’s WTVT-TV, where he won a local Sports Emmy for “Buc Sunday,” and as sports director at Las Vegas KVBC-TV, where he won multiple Nevada Sportscaster of the Year awards. He began his career as the play-by-play announcer for the Pacific Coast League’s Las Vegas Stars baseball team.
Cowherd’s first book, “You HERD Me!” was a “New York Times” best-seller in hardcover in 2013, spending five weeks on the list. In October 2015, his second book, “Raw: My 100 percent Grade-A, Unfiltered, Inside Look at Sports,” was released. Rogue Ales & Spirits, based in Newport, Oregon, collaborated with Cowherd in August 2015 to release “Blunt N’ Bitter” microbrew – the official beverage of Cowherd and THE HERD.
Cowherd, in collaboration with iHeartMedia, launched The Volume, a new podcast network, in February 2021. The Volume includes podcasts hosted by former NFL players Aqib Talib (“Catchin’ fades with Aqib Talib”), Cooper Manning (“Soup with Coop”), Jake Crain (“The JBoy Show”), and Chris Mannix (host of “Boxing with Chris Mannix”), among many others.
