Colin Cowherd is an American sports media personality who is currently the host of The Herd with Collin Cowherd on ESPN Radio and ESPNU. He was a co-host of the show SportsNation on ESPN2 alongside Michelle Breadle and later Charissa Thompson. He joined FOX Sports and Premiere Networks in September 2015 s a television, radio, and digital personality.

A native of Grayland, Wash., Cowherd graduated in 1985 from Eastern Washington University, where he got his broadcasting start.

He began his career as the play-by-play announcer for the Pacific Coast League’s Las Vegas Stars baseball team.

Cowherd’s first book, “You HERD Me!” was a “New York Times” best-seller in hardcover in 2013, spending five weeks on the list. In October 2015, his second book, “Raw: My 100 percent Grade-A, Unfiltered, Inside Look at Sports,” was released. Rogue Ales & Spirits, based in Newport, Oregon, collaborated with Cowherd in August 2015 to release “Blunt N’ Bitter” microbrew – the official beverage of Cowherd and THE HERD.

Cowherd, in collaboration with iHeartMedia, launched The Volume, a new podcast network, in February 2021.
