Myers became interested in the weather after several tornadoes and blizzards hit his hometown in Kansas City. The Moore EF5 Tornado disaster of 2013, left a very wild impression on him. In 2015, he moved to Texas where he chased tornadoes and covered severe weather and flooding.
Before graduating, Collin had his first job and moved back to northeast Kansas. This is after being exposed by a broadcast TV that had spotted him.
