Corinna Everson Biography
Corinna Everson, born Corinna “Cory” Everson is an American female bodybuilding champion and actress known from 1984 to 1989 for winning the Ms. Olympia contest six years in a row.
She was born in Racine, Wisconsin, and attended high school in Deerfield, Illinois. Later on, she attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she was a multi-sport standout. While attending university she met Jeff Everson, a competitive bodybuilder who worked there as a strength coach.
When she got in touch with a friend who was also inspired to work in weight lifting, Everson began her fitness and bodybuilding career. Sometime later, she and her friend Jeff Everson, who would later become her husband, worked hand in gloves at Madison’s Ernie Gym, where her duo practiced forcefully. She actually tested her potential in 1980, when she was with Ms. Mid América.
In 1981, Corinna won the IFBB North American Bodybuilding Contest. She was awarded the Ms. Olympia title in 1984. For the famous Body-Shaping exercise program, Corinna is the brain. She became a film star when she retired from her career in carpentry in 1989.

After retiring from the competition, she turned to acting with her first major movie appearance, she made her film debut in her 1991 film, ‘Double Impact.’ She also had a part in Hercules and several other appearances. Everson was the first woman to be taken to the IFBB’s 1999 Hall of Fame. The Arnold Classic Lifetime Achievement Award was awarded to her in 2007 as well. In 2005, she was named one of the popular Muscle Beach Body Building Halls, and in 2008, Feathered’s National Fitness Hall.
In the six straight years between 1984 and 1989, when Corinna won the Ms. Olympia competition, the world was astounding and she won so many fans who were stuck in her work.

Everson was inducted into the IFBB Hall of Fame as part of the inaugural class in January 1999. On September 5, 2005, she was inducted into the Muscle Beach Venice Body Building Hall of Fame.
She was the first woman to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2007 Arnold Classic, and she was inducted into the National Fitness Hall of Fame in 2008.
