Courtney Bryant Biography
Courtney Bryant is an American journalist who is currently an evening anchor and reporter at CBS affiliate KMOV in St. Louis, Missouri since January 2020. She co-anchors FOX 5 News at 5 pm, 6 pm, and 10 pm on weeknights. Previously, Bryant worked as the evening anchor and reporter at KBAK, the CBS/FOX affiliate in Bakersfield, California.
Bryant is currently an evening news anchor at FOX 5 Atlanta. Since joining the station in January 2020, Courtney has covered many stories significant to Atlanta and the entire country. Most notably, she covered the COVID-19 pandemic, social unrest following the death of George Floyd, and the funeral of civil rights icon John Lewis.
Bryant grew up in Los Angeles and graduated from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism.
Prior to joining FOX 5 Atlanta, Bryant worked as an evening anchor and reporter at KMOV, the CBS affiliate in St. Louis, Missouri. At the station, she had the opportunity to interview the Missouri governor Eric Greitens, who resigned following allegations of sexual misconduct and blackmail.
She also covered the 2016 presidential debate between President Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton at Washington University. This led to extended breaking news coverage of area-wide unrest following the liberation of St. Louis police officer Jason Stockley.
A week before the 2020 presidential elections, Bryant was granted an exclusive one-on-one interview with the then-candidate President Joe Biden.
Courtney is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. She is a philanthropist, having her supported a number of causes including Relay for Life, The American Cancer Society, and NAMI Walks, a benefit for the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
She has also worked for the former Israel Broadcasting Authority in Jerusalem. In addition, Bryant has spent several years working as a freelance entertainment reporter in Los Angeles.
