Craig Melvin is an American journalist best known for working at NBC News and MSNBC. He works on NBC’s Today as a news anchor and is a co-host of Today Third Hour.
Melvin went to school at Wofford College and then earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in government. His career as a journalist began while still at Columbia High. He worked as the teen reporter for WIS News 10. After graduating from college in 2001, Melvin returned to WIS News. Craig was also known for the Craig Cam to live shows. In 2008, Melvin left WIS and went to work at WRC-TV in Washington as a reporter and anchor.
During this time, he was also the anchor for many weekend broadcasts. In 2011, he also earned his big break and joined MNSBC as Dayside Anchor and relocated to New York City. Since 2011, he has also worked as an anchor and co-host for MSNBC Live weekend and MSNBC Live.
Currently, Melvin works for NBC News where he began as a news correspondent in 2012 and later became an anchor. from 2015 to 2018, Craig worked for NBC’s News ‘Weekend Today’ as the co-anchor. Additionally, he has appeared as a correspondent on ‘Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly’. Craig is also a contributing anchor for ‘Dateline NBC’.
Moreover, Melvin reported during the elections and Republican and Democratic National Conventions. He has also interviewed famous personalities like Feidin Santana, Bill Clinton, and Nicki Minaj.
