Dan Barber is a famous American chef. He is co-owner of Blue Hill in Manhattan and Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Pocantico Hills, New York. Also, Barber is the author of The Third Plate. He is a member of the advisory board of the Harvard Medical School Center for Health and the Global Environment. Prior, Dan has been awarded by The James Beard Foundation as one of the top chefs in America.

Barber was born and raised in New York City, New York, United States. He received his Bachelor’s degree in English and Political science from the University of Tufts. After that, he worked at Chez Panisse under Alice Waters. Thereafter, Dan returned to New York City to attend the French Culinary Institute. Soon after graduating, he worked with Michel Rostang in Paris before accepting a job at Bouley in New York. Two years later, he appeared again in a TED talk conference, where he listed his discovery of extensively farmed fish at Veta La Palma. He also explains how ecological and sustainable farm systems affect the flavor of agricultural products.

Prior to that, Dan has also been appointed by former President Barack Obama to serve on the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition. He is a member of the advisory board of the Harvard Medical School Center for Health and the Global Environment.
