Dave Bohman is an American broadcast journalist from Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. He is widely recognized for working as an investigative reporter for WPTV news based in West Palm Beach, Florida. Previously, he worked as a reporter for WNEP News based in Greater Scranton from 2010 to 2020. Dave is also known for covering various news reports based on corruption, crime, politics and public health matters. He even worked for WTSP News for several years before joining WNEP News.
Bohman was born and raised in the small town of Bryn Mawr in Pennsylvania. He attended the Phillips Academy from 1973 to 1975 and the Governor Dummer Academy where he graduated back in 1975. Dave then enrolled at Syracuse University back in 1976 where earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism and communication in 1980.
Bohman launched his career as a news desk assistant for WKEF News and WRGT News back in 2007. He was then assigned to work as a field reporter for KRQE from 2008 to 2009. From there, Dave joined the news team at WDTB News as a weekend anchor. He was able to report various public health topics and politically related newscasts that boosted his popularity and credibility as a broadcast journalist.
Bohman then landed opportunities with WPTZ and WCTI before joining WNEP News in 2010. During his time with WNEP News, Dave covered various famous newscasts like the 2020 presidential candidate Bernie Sanders and also covered the rock star Edie Money. Dave joined WPTV in 2020 as an investigative reporter. He has won various awards and nominations like the State Award for Broadcast deadline reporting back in 2007.
